2-year guarantee

Our furniture guarantee covers the whole catalogue for two years from delivery. It comes on top of your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, never instead of them, and it takes one email to use.

What it covers

  • A manufacturing or material fault: welding, lacquer, threads, stitching, veneer.
  • An electrical part that stops working: lamp holder, switch, cable, or the battery of a cordless model (capacity below 70% within 2 years).
  • A part that breaks in normal use: a stool leg, a mirror fixing, a floor lamp arm.
  • A product that does not match its product page: dimensions, finish, contents of the box.

For the full 24 months, we treat a fault as having been there on delivery: you do not have to prove it, only show it to us. UK law only presumes this for the first six months, so this is a promise we add.

Your legal rights stay the same

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you can reject them for a full refund within 30 days of delivery, then ask for a repair or a replacement, and you can bring a claim for up to six years after delivery (five in Scotland). Our guarantee does not reduce any of these rights.

What it does not cover

  • Bulbs, which wear out by nature, after 6 months.
  • Normal wear: brass taking on a patina, a bouclé seat softening slightly, signs of use on an oak top.
  • Damage caused by a fall, a spill, forced assembly or an abrasive cleaning product.
  • A piece that has been altered or repaired by someone else.

How to claim, in one email

1 · Write to us

An email with your order number, a photo of the fault and a sentence on what happened. No ten-step claim form.

2 · We reply within 24 working hours

A person looks at the photo and suggests a solution: a spare part, a new product or a refund, whichever you prefer when we can offer it.

3 · We send it

The part or product leaves within 48 working hours, delivery paid by us. You only return the old one if we ask, with a prepaid label.

Wear and care

Brushed brass takes on a light patina over time; a dry microfibre cloth brings back its look. Linen and cotton are best dusted with a soft brush, without water. Oiled oak can take a well wrung-out damp cloth, never detergent. Bouclé is brushed in the direction of the loops. These simple habits are enough, and care instructions appear on every product page.

Questions

Do I need to keep the original packaging?

Not for the guarantee. Yes, if you think you might send the piece back within 14 days.

Do I need to register my product?

No. Your order number is enough, and we can find it from your email address.

What happens after two years?

We keep spare parts (lamp holders, cables, felt pads, screws and fixings) for 5 years on our lighting and furniture, sold at cost price with delivery included. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 also continue beyond the guarantee.

Is the guarantee different from my statutory rights?

Yes. Your statutory rights come from the law and apply whatever we say; our 2-year guarantee is an extra commitment from us, free and without registration.
